A  portion of Montana's ecosystem is being taken over by invasive or introduced species of plants. These necklaces are made from the seeds of plants native to Montana and encourage the wearer to be conscious of her/his role in the distribution of seeds from both native and introduced species. When the wearer goes outside, the person’s movement and the wind carry the seeds away, resulting in the distribution of native plant seeds. Ideas of reseeding, native versus introduced, time, ephemerality, and human/wild interactions are all addressed with these pieces.  How are we interacting with our wilderness, and how are we trying to become native to our landscapes? Are wild plants and animals more native than humans?
